It will give me interesting and creative ways to have the children learn. It gives me and them a chance to be more hands on instead if relying on pencil and paper all the time.

I was able to learn how to make a brochure which I have not done in years. I already knew how to place pictures in text but I learned today how to do some neat tricks with the pictues and the text.

I am still in the dark. This is going way too fast for me and I am not able to absorb all of this technology info at such a high rate of speed. I fear I will always be a "beginner". Thank God I am such a good cook and violinist.

Conventional reading teaching methods can be significantly enhanced through utilization of computer technology. I believe that students of the 21st century are so accustomed to enhanced presentations whether on tv, their wii, etc that to get and maintain those students attention we have to use the resources they are accustomed to in a and present their lessons in a similar similar manner.

It helps me to realize how we need to be moving forward in the ways we teach and present to our students who are already more tech savvy then myself. Students need to feel comfortable with using technology in the ways of learning and not just intertaining.

This module has made me think about my role as an instructional designer in the following ways:how essential it is to have an end product in mind (i.e. mission/goal of what I teach)and how technology not only is highly engaging, but very effective.
